This cage is huge and would fit 4 males in there easily. i was just wondering if i got them all as brothers would they fight? or would i only be ably to keep 2 in that cage and keep the others in a different one? i just dont want to get them all and then have them fight and have to seperate them all.???Just play lots of show tunes and they will get along great. If they're from the same litter then they'll definitely get along! But if u got them at different times, u have to separate the cage in to parts for each of them so they don't fight, and if they get along through the fences then u can put them all together. Older rats accept others easier though. Hope this helps, i have 1-2 of all the common rodents in the world :) my rats are Botticelli and Roscuro. Like from my fave book :)They may fight, or they may not
Brothers, will not
Not brothers, most deffineatly will.
Hamsters actually like to be independent
unless you are a professional hamster breeder, i would keep one to a cage.
just to be safe. those little things can be vicious.
No, you dont have to separate them. Just make sure that they have tons of there own room and there should be no problem. No they would kill than eat each otherAs long as there's plenty of room, several sleeping areas & your rats are properly introduced to each other, there shouldn't be a problem. Although rats are territorial & occasionally have hormone-induced aggression, they're also very smart & highly social. Some wrestling is normal, but this is usually just play or a contest to determine who the alpha rat is. As long as there's no blood or loud squealing, they're fine.
Early this year, we adopted 2 unrelated male pups as companions for our 2 yr+ old guy, who had lost his brother. After intros, all 3 shared a cage happilly til the older rat eventually passed.they might, they might not, My school had two male mice over the summer and one got out and was running around setting off alarms and two weeks later they caught him, They put him back in the same tank with kink and one day my teacher came in and kink was eating the other mouse's brain.....ya. If the pet store had them all in the same cage and they did not have problems you should be fine!yes, i mean if they keep all of the female rats in one cage and all the males in another why wouldn't they get along but just incase i would do an every day check-up oh and if that awnser really helps your welcome
love, mirandaThe answer to your question is no no no no and no. I have two male rats myself and they do okay together outside of the cage but when male rats reach maturity it will be best for them to have there own cages. You can really stress them out when they are all together like that. Not to mention when they do actually reach maturity they will fight for dominance. If you want to put rats in the same cage, they have to be of the opposite sex. My rat Dobby, who is a real sweetheart bit my male baby rats toes just for climbing on his cage. When he was put inside the cage, Dobby kept climbing on Nevil and fighting with him. Dobby was stressed out and did not calm down until after Nevil was placed in his own cage. Dobby has a real sweet temperament and loves to cuddle but it is in his nature to protect his territory, and it will be the same for your rats. Have fun with them and if you want them to get along, you can buy them a play pen for them to socialize stress free.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
