Here's the story,I was jogging for about 10 minutes on my treadmill,I think it's a 580 performance something...so then i decided to get off.I accidentally pushed the speed control up to performance (highest speed)for not even a second, i hear an electrical computer thing go,and then it just turns off.i tried taking the key out and putting it back in, didn't work.tried unplugging the electrical cord and putting it back in, didn't work.Absolutely nothing worked, the screen didnt come on,nothing. Why did this happen, how did this happen, and what do i do to fix it?You might have tripped the breaker/ fuse if that is the case not a costly repair at all but if it isn't you might as well get a new tread mill because you most likely fried something very expensive on the inside of the treadmill. It is very possible that you simply "tripped" the in-line breaker of the treadmill.Look at the front of the treadmill, at the bottom. Somewhere in that area you should see a small rocker switch. The switch is a 15 amp breaker. Push on it and see if that re-powers the treadmill.
All powered treadmills have a breaker. The purpose of the breaker is to prevent a power surge that might damage the treadmill motor and/or computer.
If that doesn't fix it, check your home electrical breaker box for a tripped breaker. This is a very common occurrence with treadmills and not a serious problem. Good luck! You may have broken it. It might be fried.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
