Why can't I do sit ups anymore?

  • I'm a very fit person usually and i make the effort to go to the gym once a week. However after a session (150reps every other day) in my home gym I caught a flu and experienced bad back pains, which meant I was out of training for a week. I'm fully recovered now, however when i've come to do my weekly sit ups I found i couldn't even manage one!? (literally not even up and down).

    I have a very bad feeling about this, any idea what I should do next?


  • Your still in a state of recovery.
    It's perfectly normal, to feel weak even a couple weeks after having a virus in you're body. I would suggest that you take it easy when exercising and don't over exert you're body. And learn to relax, take deep breaths, and eat healthily (as cliche as it sounds).
    Yoga helps. You'll gain you're strength back. It might take a while though before you can do 150 reps again. Also be patient with your body.
