Which Camera Should I Get??

  • Okay--I am verrryy new to photography. And Im only looking to do it as something with my friends/family. Im currently looking at these 3 cameras, which would you suggest getting?

  • i have the d40 with the two kit lenses but i upgraded my telephoto. i love my d40 alot.


  • For just a friends/family either of these is a good choice. My advice is to go try each out. Hold them, play with the menus, etc. See which one feels more comfortable in your hands.

    I personally went with Nikon simply because it felt a lot more comfortable in my hands. I would say though if you like the Canon, if possible go with at least the XTi ($629 w/lens on Amazon)

  • I don't know much about the Nikon cameras...but I use a Canon Rebel Xsi. I borrowed my aunt's Rebel X previously and I definitely recommend spending the extra money to purchase the Xsi...it's so worth it.
