Absolutely. He was the best and most consistent performer of the entire competition. His ability to change a well known arrangement of a song to make it his, and yet still have everyone loving the song, is uncanny. As much as I love most of the final 12 dearly, and the high level of other talent they had, I believe Australia got it right and the best and most deserving performer won. It has been obvious that he was ready to move into the professional arena full time right from the start. He's also a down to earth person without the arrogant ego - actually all of the final 12 were like that too - and it made it so much easier to like him.Yeah!! He is waaaay beter than any of the other previous Idols. Although Jessica Malboy (or however you spell it) seems to be doin well. Wes is a performer and is fantastic at sing and entertaining and I think he will do well in the businessYes, I thought Wes would win Idol. He has always been consistent with what he delivered on Sunday nights. He is a true entertainer. I have checked out his myspace page and the songs he has on there were very good. Link http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus... I was kinda hoping that Luke would win though, especially seeing as they were offering the Idol Development fund this year. Wes is there, he is going to make albums no matter what. Luke however could do so well with the development funding. He is a great singer and talent. He seems to have a great personality, but maybe a little shy. I actually loved them both, so didn't vote for either in the last few weeks. Would have been happy if either won.Yes I liked him from the start when he performed his own song at the audition great singer entertainer song writer the whole packageI think he deseved it. I mean he put alot of effort into going to gigs and stuff. He needed a reward (And he was my favourite right from the begining!)Yes every one knew he would win!! well not every one but it wasn't hard to work out he would win. Hes a awesomely awesome singer but i still wish Luke win nd haha lol oh well.
you know aussie idol last year i can't evan remember that very well, maybe aussie idol is dying haven't herd from half of them in awhile :qI didn't think Luke would even be in the top 2!!i think Wes Carr is worthy of it, but i think Luke was better.
Wes was more of a performer or entertainer. not saying his voice isn't good, but he was more a performer.
in my opinion, i wished teale, chrislyn or roshani got futher, since there had since wonderful voices.
but it all really depends on the votes doesnt it?i think he will phase out... he try's a little bit too hard ... (in my opinion) they where all goodNo, although he is very good his persona is not what the Australian audience really eats up and he tends to scoop notes and can be a bit pitchy at times. Yes, he is a better entertainer than Luke and much more experienced.
I don't think Luke would stick it out in the music industry for long. It was obvious that Wes was going to win.
Throughout the whole season the judges were pushing and promoting him. Never in the history of Australian Idol has someone received so many compliments from the judges.
So he was a sure thing. Right from Day one I knew that Wes would end up in the top two. But I thought that he would be competing with Mark Spano not Luke.
ADDITION:
My favorite was Mark Spano though! My family and i have been following it since the final 8 and every single week he demonstrated skill and potential to become a recording artist. he is a great singer and a wonderful entertainer. I definately think he deserved it.Yes I wanted him to win not from the start but out of the top four. I didn't really watch this season since Madam left (she was my favourite).
It was so funny when Jessica Mauboy (is that how you spell it?) was singing one of the dancers fell over!!!i knew he would win it!!
even if he didnt he would still deffinatley get a music contract.Yes and No cause I would of like Luke to win as he is more deserving than Wes. Also why did Wes get to leave the house? He is a good singer but at the start I didn't he would make it into top 2yeh, by far he was better than the other one, and a whole lot more marketable..Yeah, Wes is a great entertainer because he's full of energy and has a great voice! what do you think? I do feel sorry for the guy who didn't win, but he'll be ok, im sure he'll bring out a few songs too:)i'm not an idol fan, i haven't liked any of the other winners. but i think wes is truly talented. he can sing, he gets the crowd psyched up. he's a great performer.nah no way.. he could never go international, (altho no idol from australia has gone international anyway) and his look is very average - or even below average i say.. hes no superstart, just a guy australia admired because talent is lacking here
sorry Wes!Yehhhh definitely. He really was the deserved winner.Yeah I thought he was awesome although I always think the runner up has a better career (think Anthony Callea and Shannon Noll). The last few idols haven't done so much so who knows, maybe the whole concept is dead. Even American Idols have never matched Kelly Clarkson. YES!!! I liked him from the beginning!!! But Luke
was good, too. I loved Luke's moonwalk last night on the Finale :DI WENT FOR HIM SINCE THE START!!
he's a great singer/performer.
i'm so gonna buy his album!!!
he deserved it,
he did have abit of an advantage tho, cuz he was in a band with ben gilles drummer from silverchair.. although it wasnt sucessfull! he might even get that band together again.. ?
but overall he so deserved it, luke is also good.. but wes was just born to perform!! DEFINITELY! WES IS THE BEST!No I don't because he has already had a recording contract and released an album (in his band with Ben Gillies from Silverchair). Even though it was only a small recording contract/ album and he was allowed on the show I still don't think it was fair to Luke who started from scratch. I thought Idol was supposed to find people who weren't already in the music industry and make them stars - Wes was already part of the Australian music industry. I saw a picture of him and review of his band in Sydney Morning Herald - just google 'Wes Carr' and 'Ben Gillies' and it will come up.
Yes. He is a fantastic singer, musician and performer. I would have prefer to have had Luke win. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
