Buying Microsoft Office 07 online?

  • My 60-day trial of Microsoft Office 2007 recently ran out, and I was looking to convert/upgrade to the full version by obtaining a product key online.

    However, when I select "Buy Product Key Online", the page never loads. I get a completely blank web page that says "Done" at the bottom and "Microsoft" in the title bar. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Also, how much is it to purchase a product key for this? Is it the same price, less expensive, or more expensive than if I just went out and bought a Suite on disc?


  • I bought mine on disc. If you buy it on disc, make sure you buy the Academic version, this is no different to the full version, you don't have to put any educational information in to prove it's for academic use, it's just a lot cheaper. I have it installed on my desktop and laptop and no issues with updating or anything.


  • If you are in school search the ultimate steal you can get everything for like $70 including excel power point word and like 4 others as long as you have a school email


  • You can call Microsoft and purchase it over the phone.

    One downside of the Academic version is you cannot upgrade to the next version when it comes out. You have to either purchase another Academic version or a full copy.
