APC or Zend? Which does the best job of speeding php up?Zend what? If you are talking about Zend Optimizer, then APC is a better route to take.Currently though we are running with dual Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz and I thought someone mentioned APC had issues with that type of box?Can you find this post that says something to that effect? I've never heardc such a thing.Currently though we are running with dual Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz and I thought someone mentioned APC had issues with that type of box? It means you are up to date.It means it has already updated recently. You are safe from Internet threats.Do Not trust Windows Defender!!! In the 4yrs I have been using that program it has no once ever found 1 piece of spyware, tracking cookie or virus! It just takes up space on the hard drive! And is a back door for microsoft to access your computer...And i would not trust an answer like the one above, who says he's been using it for 4 years and slags it off bigtime.....but apparently he is still using it and it begs the question.......Why......... I really don't know how often it updates ...can't you configure it to update automatically...say once a day....... - 2009-07-04

» 5/27/06 REPORTS: ND

Had an improptu first chase in North Dakota today as my wife and I just moved here. Literally unloaded the U-Haul truck this morning. About 5pm this afternoon I noticed Cu going up in the vicinity of Devil's Lake, ND which is about 90 miles west of Grand Forks. Decided what the heck. Loaded the laptop, ham radio, and cameras into the car and took off. Headed west on US 2 toward Devil's Lake. As we went west, a lone storm developed. Made it to that storm just east of Leeds. Eric Whitehill pulled up alongside and we chatted while watching the storm which became outflow dominant. Decided to stick with the storm to see if it could pull back together which it did a short time later becoming torn warned in Towner County. We were 8 miles...... - 2009-07-04

» What can i use to get my teeth very white?

something that really worksSomeone told me the other day that your teeth should not be any whiter than the whites of your eyes. With that said baking soda based toothpastes do work well and so do the whitening strips provided your teeth are more towards the yellow rather than the gray side. Everyones teeth react differently tho the "bleaching". They are worth a try. A more costly option is an in office whitening treatment but that usually costs hundreds of dollarsWhile it is true that baking soda is a great whiter for your teeth and makes your breath sweet as well, you must be very careful of how often you use it. If used continually over a long period of time, IT WILL SCRATCH YOUR TEETH, making tiny abrasions that will in time wear the...... - 2009-07-04

» Ladies once you get married would be okay with no other person looking at you as a physically ?

attractive person? If people only appreciated you for your personality would that be okay?Heck no, that wouldn't be ok. Since our society (and MEN) put such a huge focus on a woman's looks, we usually value ourselves that way, too. Therefore, we very much do need constant affirmation that we are beautiful. However, when I was married, it wasn't a desire to be desired (like when you're single), it was more like I wanted people to tell my husband, "Man, you're wife looks great." I wanted him to be proud. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, he cheated on me, so f*** him. :)You have two questions, first one. Human beings are naturally attracted to others they find appealing or physically attractive. » graph statistics

I have been running some experiments, which involves recording the amount of time a process takes to finish. I then run another more complex experiment of the problem and record how long that takes to complete, and so on. I have collected a set of results and graphed these times and it has given me a curve that appears to indicate a linear increase in the time taken for each experiment (the line is more or less straight). My question is what statistical analysis i could perform to confirm that the results are increasing linearly and will likely continue to if i was to run more experiments. Essentially i want to mathematically prove that the problem is not becoming harder to solve (taking more time) as it becomes more complex. ...... - 2009-07-04

Just wondering why nowhere seems to sell the white (i think Nikon maybe calls them grey) Nikkor lenses anymore. Have they been discontinued ? :( The real advantage of the white colour was to prevent the lens getting hot in the sun was it not ? Seems like a good idea, but i suppose Nikon must have had a valid reason for not making them (if that is the case ?) Anyway, if anyone knows anything about the whereabouts of all the white Nikon lenses (particuly the 70-200) :thumbup:I've seen them on the B&H site, they might have been imported though.I've seen a few on bhphotovideo.comThe only ones I've seen of late have been on back-order, or they've been out of stock imports. » One more time but with more info: I had $4,000 in a Roth IRA which grew to about $4400 but NOW ?

it is down to $3600!! I have 10 yrs before I retire. What are the odds that it increases again within 10 yrs? Will it bounce back or should I take it out and put it in my 3.5% interest bearing savings account where I KNOW it will grow..even if for just a little bit. Thanks in advance to all who help and answer.Stop! First, no one knows what'll happen. But, it's unlikely that 10 years will see a complete reversal. Second, $4000 isn't a lot of money, when it comes to talking about retirement. If this is all you have saved, then you do need to protect every penny of it. But, if you're retiring in 10 years, I hope that you have at least $100,000 saved. Third, at 3.5% (which is good for a savings account), you...... - 2009-07-04

» Marrow samples in adults and children?

A red marrow biopsy is ordered for two patients â “ a young child and an adult. The specimen is taken from the tibia of the child but from the iliac crest of the adult. why are different sites used to obtain marrow samples in adults and children? It may be because children have more in some areas and adults in others.it is easier to take bone marrow samples from the breast bone in both adults and children but is more painful and carries the risk of heart injury. adults can have marrow taken from the hip bone (iliac) to reduce the risk and lessen the pain. children will find it less painful to have it taken from the leg bone (tibia) and it is generally easier to get more marrow from the leg than the child's hip bone. ...... - 2009-07-04

» Canon/Nikon: The next major step is..

Now that the mega-pixel race is slowing down, and people aren't quite so impressed by more, more, more, and both companies now have both a full-frame pro body and pro-sumer body, what's the next big innovation for these two going to be? I'm not talking about a slightly faster FPS count, or marginally improved high ISO performance, but something big. I've been thinking about this for a little while now, and I'm thinking it's got to be in-body image stabilization. Anyone agree? Disagree? What do you think?In-body is a nice thought but the place that needs the stabilization the most is the end of the lens. If I really dislike someone's answer I still feel that that person has a right to his or her view. I often give thumbs up. I don't get why the cross is the Symbol of Christianity, It's not like Jesus or God said so it's not even in the Bible. The plastic water bottle shrunk dramatically in size (80% of original), so I'm assuming there is less plastic material than we started with. Looking in the bottle, I can't visually see any signs of impurities. I have the following questions: 1) Where did the extra plastic material go? Did it vaporize, go into the water, or just become more dense? How is it different from putting a water bottle into a pot of boiling water? » What takes more bravery traveling to the future or the past?

If you travel to the past you'll be more advanced probably. If you travel to the future you'll be at least slightly stupider then everyone else. Also jumping the time line into the future is probably harder then the reverse just thinking random thoughts here :)Neither. Living in the Present takes all the bravery we can muster.PAST = Memories FUTURE = hopes & wishes Brave people live in the NOW regardless of the good or bad things happening around them. Answering your question... have you ever seen the movie "Idiocracy" A guy goes 500 years into the future to find out that mass commercialism has turned ALL humans into mass breeding retards... » What Songs Or Videos Do You Like That Are Similar To DJ Q-Bert's "Sneak Attack"?

DJ Q-Bert - Sneak Attack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REfHJvxBy... Have you heard DJ Spooky and Kool Keith's Object Unknown. As far as I know there are two versions. One on DJ Spooky's Riddim Warfare release from 1998. But M Boogie had a different version on his Laid in Full Volume 1 release which I actually prefer.DJ Spooky's album probably has a few spacey tracks like the QBert one. Kid Koala has a similar style to QBert so you might want to check out his Carpal Tunnel Syndrome CD. Also you probly know but Wave Twisters by QBert all has the same theme I even think there is a DVD of it. You might also find some of the Company Flow or Def Jux Instrumentals from Mr Len or El P. Even some of the instrumentals off Hand...... - 2009-07-04

» New Breakbeat Track

So a new track gets done and goes online. Breakbeat with some heavy distorted guitars. DJ Deception feat. PhoeniX - Controlled Chaos (http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=1081219&t=3766) Guitars, Piano, final composition/sequencing and audio mastering by moi. Enjoy! :)Pretty nice man. I like the main guitar theme. Did you program the beat, then break it straight away? It might've sounded better if you added some ambient sound reverb, exported as a loop, then sliced that, because the breaks sound a teensy little bit robotic. But I seriously like this! Nice one, man.I am not at all good when it comes to creating breaks man. A coupla people have told me that the glitching involves adding reverb and cutting that reverbed signal. Thanks ...... - 2009-07-04

» Shoeing horses, back and front? ?

Why is it sometimes you need to shoe horse's on the front hooves if they are doing more roadwork? Why that and not always the back hooves, or just the back hooveS? Good Morning, There are many, many different reasons for horses having shoes, fronts only, backs only, or all the way around or sometimes having bar shoes. Horses doing trail riding on average terrain usually can get by with Keg shoes, sort of like you and I wearing boat shoes, just enough to protect their tooties, but not enough to endure a ton of work. Putting shoes on the fronts only is what we recommend to anyone who will be doing ring work and pleasure riding. The front feet take the brunt of jumping over fences, logs, etc and we feel that they need more s...... - 2009-07-04

» Sephora group interview?

I have one coming up in 4 days, and am incredibly nervous, this job would let me die happy! has anyone interviewed with them before? Even better, anyone who works there know what they're looking for? I've been doing makeup freelance for a year and a half and have a very good grip on the products, techniques, trends, etc...but have no retail experience. Just office work and Museum education field work. Because group interviews can catch you off guard, you should keep the following in mind. 1.Be prepared for confusion and noise. Donâ ™t let them make you rush your answer or feel pressured. 2.If possible, learn who the panelists are ahead of time. Find out their names, who is in charge, and who has the most clout. 3.If possib...... - 2009-07-04

» Are you a Jonas Brothers hater or lover.?

If your a lover say why. If your a hater say why. I love the jonas brothers.I LOVE them!! Their music is great! I can listen to it over and over! I think they are well brought up, they love their fans and they want to help those people who are less fortunate than themselves!! It's so cute when they bring little kids up onto the stage and sing with them!! The kids look so happy! They do a lot for children's charities too! They donated 10% of their 2007 earnings to their charity "Change for the Children". I think they are all so talented, kind, moral and just full of life! Especially Kevin - He's my favourite! I guess a lot of people think so as he was on People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive List! He should h...... - 2009-07-04

» The balkanization of communities by Forum || Blog Disconnect + some suggestions?

This is my number 1 problem with vBlog at this point. vBulletin is the heart and soul of our site. In fact, we've stretched and extended the system so that our vBulletin pretty much *is* the site. After running vBlogetin(Blog Mod) for quite a few months now we've found the following: 1. The Community has become somewhat fragmented into Bloggers Posters. The Blog system is a parallel system for self expression and has had a tendency to siphon off some of our more creative posters into blogging instead of posting in the forums. Other members rarely see the content posted in the Blogs despite our best efforts to promote them and the "Latest Blog entries" CMPS module on the right hand column of almost every page in our site. 2. The vast maj...... - 2009-07-04

» Opera 9 to Include BitTorrent

Opera Software has announced that it has teamed with BitTorrent to include the BitTorrent protocol in the upcoming version of the Opera Web browser. Integrating this popular technology in the Opera browser means faster and more efficient downloads of large files. Opera and BitTorrent have signed an agreement covering Opera's use of the BitTorrent trademark and access to the BitTorrent search engine from the browser's user interface. A technical preview (TP) of the Opera 9 browser will be made available soon, and Opera emphasizes that the TP should be used for preview purposes only. » Regular gas fireplace maintenance?

I have a Superior DS-36R gas fireplace in the house we just rented a few weeks ago; don't know the age or installation date. The blower (assuming there's one in there) never comes on and the glass front is clouded. Can anyone point me to a website/mfr with a users manual or share from experience? I would like to take the glass off to clean as well as troubleshooting the fan.you can clean the glass with oven cleaner,by leaving it on for a while and wash it off with soapy water.assume the unit is as old as the house is,unless it was remodeled.also they might not have connected the blower up to the electricity. you may have to run power to it.use a vacuum cleaner to suck the dust off the unitGive this website a try. http://www.m...... - 2009-07-04

» drain cleaning switch label

this is more of a suggestion, than any thing else, but why not label the switch "run" "off" and "emergency release" rather than the "forward" "off" and "reverse" of current of use, If an inexperience person is running the machine. I know many think one should run the machine in "forward" to put the cable into the drain, and "reverse" to remove from the drain, "quote from the k380 manual-- WARNING Do not allow tension to build up in the cable. This will happen if the cutting tool hits a snag and stops turning, but the motor and its drum continue to rotate. Torque builds until the cable suddenly twists, potentially wrapping around your hand or arm. This can happen quickly and without warning so proceed slowly and carefully as yo...... - 2009-07-04
